Luke Edward O'Mara
the name behind the mission
Luke Edward O'Mara entered the world on May 24, 2016, weighing 3 pounds and 15 ounces, and measuring 16 inches long. Although being diagnosed with Trisomy 18 in the womb, Luke was a fighter. While doctors and tests suggested that he would not live to birth, little Luke spent ten minutes with his daddy, Blake, and mommy, Amy. He was showered with hugs and kisses, got baptized by his daddy, let out two sweet little whimpers, and showed his loving parents his beautiful dark eyes Despite the sorrow of his passing, his parents, Blake and Amy, found peace in the precious moments they shared with Luke, cherishing every heartbeat and whispered breath. Now, Luke's legacy lives on to bring hope through the mission of his foundation, which provides care for those grieving from miscarriage and infant loss.

Our mission is to provide comfort and hope to families during the loss of their baby.
Our Story
In the wake of unimaginable loss, Amy found solace in sewing a blanket for Luke, a tangible expression of love that lasted beyond his brief presence. As they navigated the depths of grief, the O'Maras transformed their pain into purpose, founding the Luke O'Mara Foundation to honor their son's memory and provide comfort to families experiencing similar loss. From that first blanket sewn in a silent hospital room to the countless acts of compassion and support offered by the foundation, Luke's legacy lives on in the love and light shared with families in their darkest hours.

The Luke O'Mara Foundation stands as a heartfelt tribute to the memory of Luke Edward O'Mara, created by his parents, Blake and Amy O'Mara. Luke's brief but lasting presence in their lives inspired Blake and Amy to channel their grief into a mission of compassion and support for families enduring the loss of a baby. Through the foundation, they offer a range of practical initiatives, including Memory Boxes, Comfort Bags, CuddleCots, and Remembrance Gardens, providing tangible comfort and honoring the precious lives of infants who are gone too soon.
